The difference between mall display cabinets and museum display cabinets

What is an exhibition cabinet? I believe friends have some understanding, such as storing jewelry display cabinets in jewelry stores, and displaying luxury items such as lipsticks in cosmetics stores, all of which belong to the category of exhibition cabinets. When you attend cultural relics exhibitions, you may also see many display cabinets. From the appearance, there seems to be no significant difference between these two types of display cabinets, but when you carefully observe, you will find that there is a huge difference in details and interior between these two products.

For example, there is a significant difference in the structure of these two products. The structure of ordinary product display cabinets is often more rugged, or in other words, the structure is not so rigorous. But if it is a cabinet for displaying cultural relics, the structure is very rigorous, and the switch of this cabinet can hardly be seen from the outside. Now let's introduce the other differences between these two specifications.

Commercial display cabinets are designed to promote products and attract the attention of customers. This type of display cabinet does not have too many requirements besides being sturdy and aesthetically pleasing; But the objects protected by museum display cabinets are cultural relics. In addition to being sturdy and beautiful, the performance of glass such as light transmittance and temperature and humidity control should also be considered. The production process is stricter than commercial display cabinets, and the price is much higher.

The second important difference between museum display cabinets and ordinary display cabinets in shopping malls is that the materials are definitely different. If it is an ordinary cabinet, ordinary materials are generally chosen for production, some may be made of wood, and some may be made of ordinary stainless steel. But if it is a cabinet for displaying cultural relics, better materials may be used, such as materials with fire resistance, materials with anti-theft function, environmentally friendly materials that pollute, materials that cannot cause damage to cultural relics, and so on.

In addition, the third important difference is the location of the display. The display cabinets in shopping malls are naturally used in shopping malls, while the display cabinets for cultural relics may be used in exhibition halls, museums, or memorial halls. Of course, they may also be used in some enterprises and institutions.

The fourth difference is that the security levels of the two are different. It would be great if an ordinary mall display cabinet could be equipped with a key, but an exhibition cabinet specifically designed for cultural relics display is much higher in level. It not only needs to be equipped with various anti-theft functions, but even the way it is opened is unknown to ordinary people.

Secondly, most products can be used in general environments, and normal temperature and humidity will not cause damage to them. Therefore, commercial display cabinets do not have absolute requirements for sealing. However, cultural relics have a long history, and if exposed to a normal environment, it will accelerate their aging and lead to serious damage. In order to provide a safe and protective environment for cultural relics, museum display cabinets need to undergo relevant tests after manufacturing.

The difference between cultural relics display cabinets and exhibition cabinets in ordinary shopping malls will be briefly analyzed here. We may come into contact with these two types of display cabinets in our daily lives, especially those used to display cultural relics. These types of display cabinets have much higher technical content, and the difficulty of production design and production is much greater than that of ordinary exhibition cabinets.
